Well, three weeks in NYC and I'm in full hustle mode! I'm on hold for two commercials (fingers are crossed!) and I'm about to recertify in Rapier and Dagger with the awesome folks at Nuetral Chaos Combat. Kimball Studio fall classes are starting up in a week, but I've already done two workshops at the studio with Barden/Schnee casting associate Rachel Goldman and Judy Henderson casting associate Kimberly Graham! I also did a OneOnOne class with Donna McKenna so....yeah I really hit the ground running. BUT it was all worth it as all three of those ladies were fantastic energies in the room and ran an awesome class with tons of great gems to take home. Enjoy the last days of summer, everyone! I'll be heading out to do some apple picking soon!
I'm back from my amazing 25 day thru-hike on the Colorado Trail in my home state! I'm refreshed and diving right back into auditions, on-camera classes, and CD workshops around NYC. Excited to book the next gig! Check out my Instagram for some photos from the trail.
Contract is signed! I'll be performing as the Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland Live April 8th at the Patchogue Theater in Long Island and April 22nd at the Orpheum Theater in Wichita, KS. I cannot express how excited I am to bring to life one of my favorite stories of all time. Check out the graphic below for info on discount tickets to the NY show (click the image to go to the patchogue theater's website). Hope to see you there!
Just started some awesome on-camera classes at Kelly Kimball Studio with Jamie Carroll. Once I'm through the Crash Course, I'm excited to dive into their 12 week course where they have industry nights included with the classes. Definitely recommend these classes to any actor looking to shapren their on-camera work and meet some Casting Directors in the process. Check them out at kimballstudio.com
Back in New York City after an awesome vacation in my home state of Colorado, and I am ready to rock and role (see what I did there? Like a role in acting?) Speaking of acting roles, my goal this year is to book a speaking role on a TV show that shoots in New York! But I'll settle for one that shoots anywhere. Here's an inspirational picture of me on top of a mountain last week:
Opening night for The Taming of the Cats at The Brick Theatre is finally here! Fun to be a part of this little horror-thriller to get into the Holloween spirit. Check out our Facebook page to learn more about the show and purchase your tickets!
My first commercial is LIVE! I saw it on TV recently and I peed a little. You can watch it below. I play both sea creatures. Gotta give it up to my scene partner Guyviuad Joseph who did an excellent job beating me up and making me look good, even when I couldn't see what I was doing in that mask! Also a huge thank you to my friends at Bicoastal Management for getting me in the door for this awesome booking. OK now I'll shut up so you can watch it:
Very excited to have passed my certification test in Smallsword and Knife today. This means I am now certified in six out of the eight weapons that the Society of American Fight Directors offers. ...Andrew Baldwin [plays] a vapid young actor who spends much of his stage time looking like sex in a Speedo (or a pair of red boxer-briefs, as it were.)"- Press Enterprise
I can safely say that no one has ever called me "sex in a Speedo" before, and it may be a while before my ego returns to its normal state (I have been warned by doctors that ego inflation of this magnitude can leave permanent damage, but what do they know, RIGHT?!). But actually, this review was so exciting to read because it gave some well-deserved credit to the amazing company of actors, designers, and techies here at the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble. BRAVO to all! Download and read the rest of the review HERE.
"Spike basking in the glow of this great review"
It's opening night! And pictures from our dress rehearsal are up! See my favorites in my gallery. Bob Rush did a fantastic job taking these photos, and you can see more pictures from the show along with the rest of his awesome photos at his website by clicking here.

Had a super fun day on set for Oxygen's new show My Crazy Love. Got some free food, had some down time to chat with other cast members, and had a great time improvising with everyone during the scenes. I know I'm new to TV acting, but I think I could really get used to it!

Got some nice reviews for O Walter, My Walter from stagebuddy.com(Click Here) and nytheaternow.com(Click Here). I am mentioned in both of them, described as giving a "masterful portrayal" and as part of a "wonderful comic duo." How nice! It has been truly humbling and thrilling to be a part of this stunningly talented cast in a show that both entertains and challenges its audience. Bravo to all my fellow Walters and Winnies!
